ACID WEST

Pieced Together Recollections Of Frontier Escapades

Acid West is a theme based, figurative exhibition, created by artist Scott Heide. This exhibition brings together a method to reconsider some of the stories and symbols of the America West. It’s about color, (colors one wouldn’t normally associate with “western” art), shape, and myth…including familiar images many of us grew up with. Depictions of the West through Scott’s window of abstraction and expressionism.

Influenced by Spaghetti Westerns, Pulp Western publication covers of the 20th century, plus art movements such as abstract expressionism, pop art and neo-expressionism, this solo exhibition is fun, colorful, and a wild excellent ride.

Scott Heide retired from graphic design and enrolled in art classes at Yavapai College, where he fell in love with printmaking. A large number of his printmaking prints, along with other work on canvas and board is included in this creative exhibition.
