A R T I S T  S T A T E M E N T

“My artwork is driven by a passion to experiment and create. Working as a graphic artist and designer, my personal artistic endeavors range from the abstract to the traditional. With my background, my creativity tends to be graphically influenced, yet lends itself well to color, shape, composition, light and form.

Evolution of images I observe, whether through the camera lens, visually through my eyes, or on a non-physical or dream state, propel my creations into physical manifestation. Preliminary sketching is held to a minimum, and occurs in the mind’s eye. Intuition and spontaneity set in motion the process, working through and with situations as presented. Creation manifests through a personal journey and discovery of self and artistic interpretation. The images created allow each viewer to explore their own thoughts and perceptions, allowing a trek into each person’s visual sensations.

I am passionate about photography, and all artistic manifestations. I feel that I am most alive, most aware of life when I am looking for images, capturing them or creating them. It is a time when I am most focused and most open to the world around me. It is also a time of great pleasure and satisfaction.”
