A R T I S T  B I O G R A P H Y

Born in southern California, Scott Heide grew up in America's West. From California to Flagstaff, Arizona, to the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of Montana, Scott has a wide range of life experiences in different geographical areas of the American West. He currently resides in central Arizona, making Prescott his home.

Spending time in Montana allows Scott to experience a particular physical and emotional love of the natural world. His teenage years spent in the Bitterroot Valley allowed Scott to hike, fish and float the Bitterroot River, plus explore the vastness of this beautiful region of America. Each year, Scott returns to southwestern Montana to recharge himself and his creativity. Living in Arizona also encourages and increases Scott’s artistic nature, which permits him to continue and grow with his art. Arizona’s beauty and the physical differences from Montana enable him to access the capacity to look at the perspective of duality in life and art. All of theses experiences provide the framework for Scott’s inner qualities, which drive him today with his creativity in traditional and contemporary art, graphic design and photography

Scott's involvement in the local community as an artist and photographer finds him volunteering much of his time between the Prescott Fine Arts Association (PFAA) and the Yavapai Digital Art & Foto Club (YDAFC). He is a member of PFAA's Visual Arts Commitee, and is instrumental in curating many exhibits in the downtsairs gallery space. As one of the three founding members of YDAFC, Scott continues to lead the club's organizational team in scheduling meetings, arranging photo safari's and bringing educational and worthwhile presentations to the 70+ members. Scott's organizational skills, attention to detail, willingness to help and his well-mannered nature assists him is these ventures.

A graphic designer by trade, a photographer and artist in his spare time, Scott has a keen eye for composition. He has 20+ years experience in the graphic design field and his work has been seen in magazines, newspapers, brochures, signs, newsletters and on the internet. Scott creates his current body of work from the impressiveness of nature, through thought provoking inner images, and the need to do what he needs to do. Many of Scott’s artistic creations adorn homes and offices throughout the country.
